Democrat Senators Now Targeting Section 230, Big Tech's Immunity

(Decentralized Media) Senate Democrats including Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) introduced legislation today going after the Big Tech's Immunity under Section 230. This is an interesting change of events since President Donald Trump attempted a similar action through Executive Order, although a further investigation into this will lead us to the truth of why this is happening now.
Section 230 offers a broad defense to tech companies, protecting them from lawsuits over the content that is generated by their users. Introduced over 20 years ago, Section 230 has been one of the main catalysts for the massive growth of the internet.
In the early days of the internet, libel and defamation laws were of great concern and there was little guidance as to how to treat them on the internet. The question arose whether companies that host the data, the websites who post the data and even the internet service provider who give access to the data that was potentially damaging could be held responsible. This is known as intermediary liability and the legal precedence showed that a third party was responsible for the speech of others.
With the money flowing considerably during these times and the incredible potential for growth, Congress acted and introduced the Communications Decency Act of 1996, a portion of the Act, Section 230 is what provides them a sort of blanket liability. As written in Sec. 230
"No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider" (47 U.S.C. § 230)
This is saying that online intermediaries that host or republish content from their users are protected against a range of laws that might otherwise be used to hold them legally responsible for what others say and do. Although, it should be noted that Big Tech is not absolved from everything. They're still required to moderate and report on unlawful content such as child pornography, copyright infringements and violent extremism.
The new legislation classically named "The Health Misinformation Act" was introduced to the Senate by Amy Klobuchar and Ben Ray Lujan on Thursday. It will require Big Tech giants like Facebook and Alphabet's Google to censor and remove health and vaccine-related "misinformation" and actively moderate or suspend the users who post this content during public health emergencies. If the Big Tech giants fail to do so they will be held liable for that failure, which is legalese meaning that the Government will fine them. This bill also directs the Department of Health & Human Services to issue guidelines on what constitutes health misinformation. Keep in mind, that the government will now be able to tell you what they consider misinformation and propaganda. This is information warfare at its finest.
It is important to remember that the reason Section 230 was created was so that a private individual could not sue big tech. This new bill does not change that fact. This was something that was close and personal to President Donald Trump, who was fighting to repeal Section 230 so that you the individual and private citizen could hold big tech responsible for their political bias and censorship.
"These are some of the biggest, richest companies in the world and they must do more to prevent the spread of deadly vaccine misinformation," Klobuchar said.
This is interesting to look at in perspective. President Donald Trump made similar accusations towards big tech and produced Executive Order on Preventing Online Censorship. Although, President Trump's Executive Order was more focused on big tech's action of censorship and political bias than it was on spreading what might be considered misinformation or harmful disinformation. He was calling out big tech's blatant utilization of their technology and algorithms, which was used to censor many conservative voices and suppress interpretative experiences. These actions targeted specific individuals with a counter political leaning which they claimed was protected under Section 230. Trump argued that these platforms, if they remained immune, should be impartial to the technology and lay a framework for moderation that is equivalent for everyone and without bias or censorship of what is defined as free speech.
Klaus Schwab, our favorite neo-propagandist during the Global Exercise, Cyber Polygon warned the world recently by saying,
“A lack of cybersecurity has become a clear and immediate danger to our society worldwide.”
Speaking as one of the keynotes for the second year in a row at one of the worlds largest Cyber Security Exercises, Schwab an engineer and economist who has absolutely no expertise in Cybersecurity discussed the World Economic Forums desire to tackle cybersecurity issues by bring together a "closer merger" of corporations, small businesses and governments. This comes after his comments when he discussed that the world needs a "vaccine for the internet", a safe and effective solution to remove harmful, dangerous and potentially damaging information from the internet. You know...to keep people safe, of course.
This plan is partially outlined in the World Economic Forums white paper titled Advancing Digital Safety: A Framework To Align Global Action. This paper is basically, in our opinion, a propaganda piece on all the bad things you might encounter on the internet. It seeks to build a user-centric framework for "advancing digital safety". This initiative is directed by the World Economic Forum's new launched, Global Coalition for Digital Safety.
Just like the Democrats new bill, as if they were all magically working together towards some agenda, the Global Coalition for Digital Safety's first words are
With the growing challenge to counter health misinformation, violent extremist and terrorist content, and the exploitation of children online, there is an urgent need for more deliberate global coordination to improve digital safety.
It is no surprise that the global agenda is seeking to control the internet and eventually all content that is produced within its veins. This bill introduced by the Democrat's in the Senate is just the beginning of a new regulatory framework that will be introduced to suppress the truth, mitigate the effect to the establishment and censor those who fight for free speech. By using the fear tactics of "health disinformation" and the disguise of harmful or radical propaganda, which by the way is determined by whoever they appoint and defined as whatever they wish, we can see the foundation being set for the complete control of the internet.
The global elite own and operate all the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) which provide internet access to the some 4.7 Billion people of the world, and they own and operate all the big tech corporations who control the massive flow of data and information through their algorithms. Now, they will make their final battle to lock down the internet for control, utilization and the spreading of propaganda that is only beneficial to them.
We are in dangerous territory. If the Democrats have their way the world will see the framework be started that will mark the decline of free speech, freedom of information the exodus from the expression of personal opinions, experiences and feelings. This will come about as people will grow fearful of the system of censorship. The system will target those that utilize various keywords, express discontent with the system. Those people will see lower Social Credit Scores which in turn will effect where they do commerce, where they can work, what type of education they can get. This new digital prison that will be created if the globalist have their way will usher in an era of forced silence and digital servitude. Even your employer would be affected simply by your public expression of opinion due to the new ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Standards being implemented by the global society.
