Demented Teachers Force Students To Tape Masks To Their Faces In Display Of Public Humiliation

Michelle Malkin took to Twitter to raise awareness of the alleged abuse occurring in Colorado Springs. Since the first allegation was brought forth on October 15, more allegations were posted on social media, the Academy School District 20 has since stated they are conducting an investigation.

The first allegation was from Rylee, a 6th grader who texted her mother a picture of herself wearing a taped mask to her face. In a snippet of a conversation Rylee had with her mother and school officials, Rylee said, "First we get a warning and then they give us the tape. We can do it ourselves or we can just learn to not take our mask down." According to Rylee, "all teachers" in her learning pod tote around rolls of tape or bracelets of tape on their wrists to hand out.

The district said an email was sent out to parents on Monday about the situation.

“We’ve heard rumors that students did it on their own; we’ve heard rumors that teachers handed out the tape; we’ve heard rumors that teachers joked about it, but the students got the tape. There are so many versions of this story. That is why we need to actually talk with every single student and find out what really happened,” said D-20 Chief Communications Officer Allison Cortez said.

In a similar report by DailyMail on September 17, 2021, a teacher was accused of taping a mask to the face of a nine-year-old boy in Las Vegas. It was reported that the entire class laughed as the teacher humiliated him by securing the mask to his face with tape after he got a drink of water without a mask.

Even though his mother said she supports the mask mandate she likened what has happened to 'corporal punishment in schools.' She said,

I don't think this woman has any business teaching children

I was furious, furious. I was scared for my son on what kind of long-term effect it is going to have on him socially, the fact that the entire class was laughing,

She has since filed a report with the police.

These do not seem to be just isolated incidents as it is occurring across the country and more parents are reporting this kind of abuse by teachers to the media. Another similar incident was reported in Kansas City 9/22/2021.

This kind of treatment by teachers toward children should never occur. This should be a wake-up call to all parents to be aware of what is going on in their child's school or classroom, at the very least. Parents have the right and responsibility to protect their children's rights and their health. No child should be subjected to the kind of intimidation and abusive behavior that these children have faced.
